Weddings for me are all about witnessing the shared joy of two people and collecting the photos that will tell that story for years to come.

In July 2018 I had the absolute pleasure of heading down to Totnes to witness the wedding of Tamsin and Ben. In a small barn so covered in colour and sequins that I almost had to wear sunglasses they stood in front of their family and friends and proclaimed their love for one another. In a ceremony combining both family and new traditions they begun a day that was all smiles.

A wedding at home is something special. You’re turning your home into a place of celebration that will forever be more than just your home. It will forever also be where you got married.

Being a wedding photographer in Devon gives me the chance to visit stunning rural venues, castles, manor houses and barns. Even with all of them in mind nothing quite beats a wedding at home.

Tamsin wore a stunning, sequinned, colourful dress from Temperley London that would not only catch the eye but any beam of light that would happen to go near it. Decorations and flowers were provided by friends and family and I particularly enjoyed the left over bunting from the London 2012 Olympics!

Every wedding is unique to the people getting married and this was no exception. Enjoy!
