CHLOE AND STU – RUMBOLDS FARM WEDDING
I’ve known Chloe since we both went to university in York but I met Stuart for the first time at the wedding of our friends Sarah and Alex in France and I was over the moon that they chose me to photograph their wedding here in the UK at Rumbolds Farm.
Rumbolds Farm is set in the most beautiful part of West Sussex nestled within a 100 acre pasture and ancient oak forest. I’ll be honest I was very excited to be taking my cameras there to photograph the ceremony in their beautiful 16th Century Barn – check out those beams?!
The venue itself is run by a wonderful family and their attention to detail shone through every part of the day. Nothing was too much trouble and everything ran like clockwork. Oh and the sun shone which was the cherry on the cake!
Chloe and Stuart’s personal style flowed right through the day from the gorgeous soft bridal bouquet to the music with everyone busting moves on the dancefloor.
It was such a treat to see magician Martin Sanderson giving everyone plenty to talk about during the drinks reception. I have absolutely no idea how we drew the King of Hearts??!! Even the kids were keeping a close eye on both hands.
I think we can all safely say when the Blue WKD came out for the gents drinking competition, I knew that we were here to P A R T Y!
Rumbolds Farm has so many wonderful elements to their wedding venue and I’d love to take you through a first hand view of Chloe and Stuart’s big day.
But first, let’s hear how it all began in their own words.
How it all began.
We first met working at IPSE in 2019, Stuart the IT guy and Chloe the Researcher.
Stuart : When I first saw Chloe come in for an interview at IPSE, I knew that she would be the one for me and to my joy, she got the job so I could then begin my awkward attempts to get her to notice me.
Fast forward a couple of weeks of not getting anywhere, the period of slight stalking began by “coincidentally” going on lunch break at the same time. To my surprise, IT WORKED. We became friends and started spending more time together.
When and where did you get engaged?
We went on a long weekend up to York – Chloe’s favourite city – in September 2020 and Stuart popped the question totally out of the blue in Museum gardens 🙂
